Challenges faced by young women and youths our community
Access to
Education
Many girls and young people in refugee and host communities face barriers to education due to poverty, displacement, and early marriage.
Seed
Grant
Young women and youth often lack access to startup capital and financial support to begin small businesses.
Stress &
Depression
Displacement, trauma, and economic hardship expose young people to high levels of stress and mental health challenges.
Violance
Unwanted Pregnancy
Gender-based violence, exploitation, and limited access to reproductive health information put girls at risk of early and unintended pregnancies
Education is a fundamental right, and a matter of justice. Youth women and youths' education and leadership are also key to tackling our most pressing global challenges. Together, we can ignite the world-changing power of youths and young womens’ education
Education Program
WEDI improves access to safe and inclusive education for vulnerable children, youth, and women affected by displacement and poverty. We integrate life skills and psychosocial support to restore learning pathways and build resilience. Our programs empower learners with knowledge, confidence, and hope for a brighter future.
Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment Program
WEDI supports women and vulnerable groups to start and grow sustainable enterprises. Through skills training and mentorship, we promote financial independence and economic resilience. Strong livelihoods strengthen families and help communities thrive.
Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and GBV Program
WEDI provides trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support to individuals affected by crisis and displacement. We create safe spaces, offer counseling, and promote community awareness. Our work also prevents and responds to gender-based violence, ensuring survivors receive care and protection.
Gender and Reproductive Health Program
WEDI promotes gender equality and access to reproductive health information and services. We support maternal health, menstrual hygiene, and rights-based education. By expanding access to care, we empower women and girls to make informed decisions about their health and future.

We center our programs
Our work is community-led, ensuring children, girls and young women, youth, and vulnerable groups shape the solutions that affect their lives. We prioritize participation, accountability, and local leadership so that every program reflects real needs, lived experiences, and sustainable impact.
How We Work
Refugee-led and community-driven
As a Refugee-Led Organization, we ensure affected communities actively lead in decision-making, implementation, and accountability. Our programs are shaped by lived experience and local leadership.
Protection- and gender-responsive
We design programs that address gender inequality and safeguard the rights of women, girls, and youth. Protection, dignity, and equity are embedded across all our interventions.
Survivor-centered and inclusive
We create safe, inclusive spaces where survivors of violence and vulnerable individuals receive compassionate care, support, and pathways to healing and justice.
Aligned with localization and UN standards
Our work advances localization by strengthening community ownership while aligning with national policies and global humanitarian and development standards.
